The university has begun its search for a Vice President, Communications and Community Partnership. Mr. Stephen Owen, Vice President External, Legal and Community Engagement made the decision to not take a second term. After consultation, Professor Toope made a decision to increase this portfolio’s focus on communications and to change the title.
Responsible to the President, the Vice President provides high level oversight for a complicated portfolio focusing on UBC’s communications with its external and internal communities, government and other constituencies.
