I am delighted to have been asked to participate in the official delegation for the Governor General of Canada’s state visit to India. I will be joining the Right Honourable David Johnston and Mrs. Sharon Johnston from February 24 to 25, 2014. The visit will highlight Canada’s engagement in India and will focus on three main areas: entrepreneurship, education and innovation, with a special focus on the contributions of women and girls.
UBC is committed to developing strategic partnerships in India. In addition to being part of IC-IMPACTS, which brings together Canadian and Indian education institutions, community, industry and government partners, UBC opened its Delhi Office. I very much look forward to the opportunity to promote Canadian higher education excellence and explore opportunities for collaboration between Canada and India.
