A letter from Prof. Toope to members of the UBC community

STJ congratulate JC student on walker
To members of the UBC community:

As Paula and I prepare to move out of Norman MacKenzie House, I simply want to take a moment of your time to say thank you.

The last eight years have been exhausting and exhilarating. I have marvelled at your inventiveness, commitment and excellence. Although it is hard to say good-bye, I do so with great confidence in the future of this superb university. I will follow your ongoing journey from afar and cheer you on as you strive to achieve greatness in all you do.

As I look back over these past years, I am extremely grateful for your dedication, support and collegiality. Without your efforts, very few of our achievements would have been possible.

Best wishes to you all.

Stephen J. Toope
President and Vice-Chancellor
