2011 President’s Service Awards for Excellence

Introduced in 1991, the President’s Service Award for Excellence is the top award presented to UBC staff in recognition of excellence in personal achievements and contributions to UBC.

Up to five recipients are selected annually by a committee of representatives from the university community. Awards are presented during Spring Congregation (Vancouver) and at Convocation (Okanagan). Each recipient receives a gold medal, $5,000 and a certificate.

UBC staff, faculty and students are invited to nominate staff members who have made outstanding contributions to the university. Permanent members of staff with 10 or more years of UBC service are eligible for nomination.

The nomination deadline is 4:30 p.m., Monday, February 28, 2011. Find more information and the nomination form on the Focus on People website.
